Countdown to Christmas with Adam and Joe Nostalgia: Jesus Day
This was the last show they did together so I've saved until the day of days. Stop plucking that bird and listen till your ears dribble.
The catch in Adam's voice still wobbles me.

Countdown to Christmas with Adam and Joe Nostalgia Day Seven (Adam and Edith)
In 2012, Adam teamed up with Edith Bowman for a short series of shows leading up to the festive season. This show features the extra bit when Adam had to cover for the lateness of Liz Kershaw who was stranded on a train.
I've saved Christmas 2009 until the day of all festive days.

Countdown to Christmas with Adam and Joe Nostalgia Day Six
If I'm honest, I started posting these shows a little prematurely.
There weren't eight proper Christmas shows, so here's a full show (including music etc) aired on 31st Dec 2011 giving the best bits of their brief return earlier that year.

Countdown to Christmas with Adam and Joe Nostalgia Day Five
2008 was an exciting year for The Adam and Joe Radio Show featuring Joe with his shivery tingles and the amazing Video Wars.
Garth Jennings covered for Joe's malingering and Video Wars was won by the delightful Chris Salt. At the end of the year (only not really because this is a pre-record) both Garth and Chris came back into the studio for the betweenies show. It also included Craig, the lovely Amber Gambler.
It's a joyous show.

Countdown to Christmas with Adam and Joe Nostalgia Day Four
With their feet well and truly under the table and podcasts on the go, the silliness goes festive once again.

Countdown to Christmas with Adam and Joe Nostalgia Day Three
Adam and Joe came to 6Music with a most violent baptism of fire to cover for Shaun W Keaveny's holiday, and being required to turn up by 6:59 am every weekday for two weeks - INCLUDING a Bank Holiday. Those awful bankers.
In a masertpiece of not-cocking-upedness, they secured a regular slot which started in October 2007 meaning they had to find a shack without the Castle ramparts to broadcast their festive show.

Countdown to Christmas with Adam and Joe Nostalgia Day Two
It's a ruddy shame that only two of the three XFM Christmas shows have been dribbled onto the internet but let's enjoy the second one is all it's low bitrate glory (despite it being post-Christmas really) for tomorrow we have 6Music.

Countdown to Christmas with Adam and Joe Nostalgia
This time next week the turkey (or non-meat equivalent) will be well and truly stuffed (or coaxed out of a loaf tin) and we'll all be setting in for a couple of days resting in a vegitative state, only animating ourselves to eat and poo.
Let's have a listen to some classic Adam and Joe festive nonsense.

Adam talks to Radcliffe and Maconie about XL Recordings BUG Special
BUG Specials used to be the exclusive delight of the BFI in London but the one Adam did to commemorate XL Recordings' umpteenth anniversary was so well received that he took it to Glasgow and Manchester.
He showed some wonderful videos both new and from olden times but one of the most memorable moments was the work he did with the Beach Boys video. It must have taken him ages but he's been rewarded with uncontainable giggles and toilet-based accidents.
The pleasingly mentile Radcliffe and Maconie got him on the phone to chat about the shows last week.
You can listen here so no worries about it falling off the iPlayer.

Adam Buxton in a West End theatre!
There are still two chances left to catch Adam's Kernel Panic show at the Duchess Theatre this week.
Tickets are available from the wonderful Invisible Dot emporium.
Adam and his bottom returned to a seat in the 6Music studio to discuss his shows and 2014 life with Shaun W Keaveny, a man who will always hold a fond place in my heart, not least because of his generosity in offering his morning slot to Adam and Joe for two weeks in 2007.
While he was in Western House, he also recorded this utterly pointless video, bless 'im.
If you're not able to get to London this week, there will be a few more opportunities in other parts of the country.
Check Adam's Events page and my silly calendar thing. He'll also be appearing back in London for the Friends of the Earth "The Big Laugh".

Adam Buxton at the 6Music Festival
For the first time, since it was birthed 12 years ago, 6Music held a festival. A good proportion of the BBC has moved it's operation up to Salford so it made sense to hold the festival in Manchester.
Since Adam was instrumental in the very survival of the station, he was invited to perform in their fringe area and join Marc Riley for his Saturday evening show.
There were a number pictures tweeted too.
This is Adam chatting to Marc Riley, Connan Mockasin and Nemone on 1st March show.
Here he is introducing The National - final act of the festival on Stage One.

Adam Buxton runs around The States like a March Hare.
I began an entry for March in my general Adam and Joe blog but there were so many lovely things about Adam's first 2014 trip to the States that it made the post look lumpy. I'm putting it all here and so that it can be contained in one tidy link on the other blog.
In preparation for the L.A. leg of his visit he wrote a letter to Marc Maron and exposed it to the intervwebs.
New York: South By
....and later in L.A.
I can't ignore the fact that he had a wicked meetup with ancient chums (stolen from his blog).

Adam and Joe question on Celebrity Eggheads #AdamAndJoe
At last, both teams seem to have heard of our secret heros and one of the Eggheads even knows a little bit about Joe's current status.
Thank you BBC iPlayer 31st December 2013.
